Edible rocks for a cake?

I'm making a spa cake for a friend, and I've decided to do a realistic spa look... with sugar flowers, rocks, and tea lights. I'm trying to figure out a way to make edible rocks. I don't want little pebbles, but actual thumb sized rocks. Any ideas?
