Kissing with belly on piercing?

Right before I got my belly on pierced, my bf started to kiss my belly on and lick it, and stuff like that just cuz it tickled me and for other reasons. But one night I decided to get it pierced (idk what I was thinking, sometimes I like it now others I don't) and I couldn't have any bodily fluids by it, now he still kisses it, but not like tongue kissing or licking or anything. Will he ever be able to do that again? I got it in May, and for the most part it's healed, but I know it takes 6 months to a year to fully heal. After that is it OK, or is it OK now just not a lot?
