Does Secretary Gates decision to step down cast further shadow on Obamas already dismal foreign policy record?

Robert Gates was Defense Secretary under GWB, and- since Obama had to don hip boots to wade through the gigantic pile of $#!t the Bush administration left behind, and two of the items from that pile of $#!t were wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I'd have to say Kudos to President Obama for keeping someone around who was extremely knowledgeable about these Bush wars. Yet another pointless and ridiculous umption from an Obama hater.
